The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Mrs. Sarah Adebisi Sosan, has urged Lagosians to attach more importance to quality education, which she believes, will go a long way in shaping the future of tomorrow’s leaders.
While hosting Master Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ihuoma and Teniola Tope Ojo, two winners of the children edition of the MTN sponsored Who Wants To Be A Millionaire in her office, the deputy governor enjoined parents to give their children quality education
Mama education, as she is fondly called, noted that she felt so elated while watching the composure and intelligence of the 11-year old children, who brilliantly answered the questions asked by the television programme’s host, Frank Edoho, .
She attributed the success of the children to the good education given to them by their parents, urging others to emulate them.
“I was there during the recording of the programme and was so impressed with the kids. It is evident that their parents must have made much effort to give them good education. These are the kind of rewards you get when you give your wards the best education. I once again congratulate the parents,” she said.
The deputy governor also thanked the producers of the award winning programme, Ultima Limited and the sponsor, MTN, for bringing such educative programme to the doorstep of the people.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson of Ultima Limited, Mr. Olumide Akinlabi, has told Campus Square that “all hands have been on deck to maintain the high standard of the programme.
"We are also working tirelessly to raise the bar on all our programmes, so we are not going to disappoint our fans,” he said.
