The Proprietor of Prospect Group of Schools, Mr. Philip Abayomi Opatola, has identified the reasons why Nigeria's educational standard is at its lowest.
Speaking at the 5th anniversary lecture organised by the school, Mr. Opatola delved into several issues some of which bordered on morals, examinations, teachers attitudes to work, environment and government policy on education.
According to him, “most of our students, especially the female, lack morals and that is why you see them dressing carelessly on campus and end up being raped."
Opatola noted that parents also contribute to the current problem affecting education, stressing that they encourage their children to cheat during examinations rather than discourage the act.
The school proprietor urged both the policy makers in the educational sector and parents not to encourage corruption
