Islamic School Convocates

The Al-Hayahu Centre for Arabic and Islamic Studies, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos held the 2010 edition of its annual graduation ceremony with fanfare over the weekend.

The event recorded the presence of notable Islamic scholars from different higher institutions of learning. Chairman of the event, a renowned philanthropist, Alhaji Yusuf Amodu, in his speech, admonished Muslim parents to ensure that adequate moral teachings and Islamic education are given to their wards.

This, he said, was necessary to keep them on the right path and become successful on earth and in the hereafter.

Speaking in the same vein, Mrs. Nusirat Talabi, who was the mother of the day, enjoined “all Muslims to tailor their lives in line with the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammed (SAW).”

Leading the team of distinguished scholars to the event, Professor Adelekan, a renowned lecturer from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), made the largest donation to the school project. Other scholars present include Alhaji Adeogun, Alhaji Monsurat Balogun from Lagos State University (LASU), Alhaji Yemisi Salami, Ustaz Taofeek Abubakri, Utaz Qodri Bola Akanbi, and Ustaz Yahkub Solihu. An elated Khalifat Saheed Amodu, the father of two graduands, Miss Aishat Abimbola Amodu and Latifat Folasade Amodu expressed profound appreciation to “all the people whose immense contributions ensured the success of this Wolimat ceremony.”
