The management of Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, has honoured 22 members of 2009 Batch ‘A’ corps members with a send forth party and gifts for their services to the institution.
The ex-corps members were advised to remain focused and be upright in life as they formally graduate into the larger society.
Speaking at the send-forth party, the Deputy Rector in charge of Academics, Mr. Eghe Igbinehi, thanked the corps members for their selfless service during their stay at the Polytechnic. He urged them to always regard themselves as part of the institution anywhere they may find themselves.
The Deputy Rector told the corps members not to forget the spirit of selfless service to their communities and the nation as they had learnt during the service year. He also urged them to always show respect to everybody they meet in life.
Responding, the corps members thanked the management and staff of the Polytechnic for the warm reception and hospitality during their compulsory one-year service to the nation.
The ceremony was graced by members of the polytechnic Management Advisory Committee (MAC), the Representative of the Registrar, Mrs. C. O. Okuwa, and the Principal Assistant Registrar (PAR), Senior Establishment, Mr. Olusegun Opaleke.
