The Federal College of Education (Technical) Electoral Commission and Petition has conducted a very free and fair elections in the school.
The students of the institution came out en masse to elect new executives that will administer the affairs of the students for the 2010/2011 academic year.
Speaking with Campus Square at the manifesto night held on 19 July at the school Multi-purpose Hall, the Commission’s Chairman, Comrade Nurudeen Hassan, stated that the elections in FCE(T) are divided into three (3) categories.
“We have Hall of Residence Election, Students Parliamentary Election (SPE) and Students Executive Councils Election,” he said.
The students came out en masse to participate in the Hall of Residence Election, which was held on Tuesday, 20 July and 31 candidates were elected to represent students in their various halls.
The results of both SPE and Students Executive Council Election were not available at the time of filing this report.
