VP Lauds PTA Over School Development

The Vice  Principal (Administration), Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School Lafenwa, Ota Ogun State, Mr. Israel Oladele, has lauded the school's Parents Teachers’ Association (PTA) for their cooperation in the development of the school.

In a chat with Campus Square, Mr. Oladele stated that since the establishment of the school, the impact of the state government has not been felt, adding, “it is only the PTA that has been contributing to the development of the school.”

The V.P stated that apart from the land and some structure inherited from the government, all the facilities (classrooms and staff room etc.) put in place are through the collective efforts of the Parents Teachers’ Association (PTA).

Some of the teachers and students who spoke with Campus Square also lamented bitterly on the state of the school. They called on government to come to their aid by providing basic facilities that will improve  learning condition.

Campus Square learnt that the school, which is located in Otta township, was formally the annex of the main school situated at Lafenwa Village before it was recently approved by the government as an independent school.

Mr. Oladele said: “The issue of moving to the Lafenwa village is now a thing of the past.

"The school in the village has been approved by the government and it has been taken over by the villagers. So there is no need to go back again. We are now permanently here in Otta."
